Job purpose:
To assist the Bids and Tender Specialist in the successful completion of tenders and Pre-qualification opportunities. Ensuring the continued success and growth of the Misco Tenders and Bids solution.

Specific duties / Responsibilities

  • To assist the Bids & Tender Specialist in all commercial aspects
  • Responsible for communicating with internal clients to ensure accurate information is received both on time and to the highest degree of accuracy
  • Responsible for maintaining good working relationships with internal customers which include Account Managers, Finance, Marketing and Management of every level
  • Responsible for collating data and presenting it in a format which is required by the customer
  • Chasing the relevant internal clients when needed
  • Maintaining up to date information in the General Misco Information Document
  • Effective preparation and presentation of applicable Tenders and Bids

Knowledge / Experience / Skills needed

  • A basic commercial understanding
  • Excellent organisational skills and working to tight timescales
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively prioritise work, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Sound knowledge of Excel
  • A good degree of creativity

Job Purpose:-
Opportunities now exist in our offices in Wellingborough (the Midlands), East London and Greenock Scotland for successful IT Sales professionals to join our busy sales team. As one of the largest suppliers of IT equipment in the UK and part of the Systemax International group of companies our business is continually growing and we want lively and enthusiastic people to grow with us.

Working from an existing and prospect account base, the main duties of the role will be to manage and develop business accounts spend by calling customers and prospects regularly. You will need excellent communication skills with the ability to identify areas where you can maximise sales on your account base.

Main Responsibilities:-

  • Manage the development of a number of major accounts.
  • Maintain regular contact with accounts via phone/fax/e-mail.
  • Cold call into new prospect accounts and develop new business opportunities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and contacts within new and existing accounts.
  • Co-ordinate the handling of enquiries, quotations and orders, avoiding returns.
  • Present promotions and special offers.
  • Source specials as per customer requests.
  • Price products as per Misco pricing policy, offering discounts within agreed limits.
  • Monitor the progress of account development.
  • Partake in Product Training.
  • Achieve up-sell/cross-sell targets to enhance average order value.

Technical Support Specialist

Main Function of Job:-

  • Provide telephone and email based technical expertise on all products stocked by Misco in order to optimise sales, provide exceptional customer service and reduce potential returns.
  • Provide post sales telephone and email support to customers, including the support of our own brand products.

Key requirements - Essential:-

  • Ability to translate complex technical information to customers and colleagues with different levels of IT knowledge
  • Qualified to GCSE (or equivalent) in two technical subjects; compensating technical experience may be acceptable
  • Literate and up to date in computer products
  • Ability to identify PC components and assemble a PC from scratch
  • Knowledge of wireless and wired networks and products including broadband connections
  • Knowledge of and ability to advise on printers, AV products, notebooks and PC accessories
  • Strong customer service skills

Key requirements - Desirable:-

  • Experience in a technical support role
  • Experience in an IT sales position
  • Experience within a busy call centre environment

Key responsibilities:-

  • Provide pre and post sales support to external customers
  • Provide pre and post sales support to internal sales staff and account managers
  • Close and process the order on all leads
  • Process returns for faulty products
  • Ensure customer callbacks are completed
  • Ensure all calls are logged
  • Answer support emails
  • Additional duties/responsibilities as required by the Technical Support Supervisor

Main Function of Job:-

To produce and deliver both system and soft skills training to new starters and existing personnel .

Key responsibilities:-

  • To create a series of system training modules to deliver to all new starters through their Induction period – to cover Telnet, Web and Einstein
  • To act as a mentor and point of contact to new starter through their induction period
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions through post training validation tests
  • With the Training and Recruitment Manager conduct a monthly TNA with all Supervisors and Line Managers. Agree, book and deliver training according to business priority needs
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure all new starters receive generic product training
  • Record all training in line with audit requirements
  • Maintain an awareness of developments within the business and ensure training material and delivery is updated accordingly (All departments)
  • Take responsibility for the Training library on Knowledgebase, develop content and promote to all departments
  • Assist Training and Recruitment Manager with new starter monthly meetings schedule
  • To administer the mentoring programme
  • Manage own training calendar to optimize time spent in the business
  • To be the main point of contact in the department for collation and input of training records onto the Visual Database
  • To assist in Recruitment at peak periods

The Person:-

  • Sound system knowledge coupled with the communication skill to relay this knowledge to entry level staff
  • Evidence of building and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues
  • Previous training experience or a strong interest in developing a career in this area
  • Strong administration skills with a competent level in Excel
  • Flexible approach to travel and overnight stays
